Easy to get started

Needed a quick way to get a cookie banner on my little site. Signed up for Usercentrics and it was pretty straightforward. The WordPress plugin made it simple to install. Didn't have any major headaches, just plugged it in and it started working. Felt good to get that privacy stuff sorted without spending ages on it.

Comprehensive privacy solution

We implemented the Usercentrics CMP for our main e-commerce site, and it's been quite thorough. The ordering process for the premium plan was clear, and integrating the SDK for our mobile app was fairly well-documented, though we did consult their support once for a specific scenario. The dashboard for Consent Analytics gives good insights, and the multi-language support was critical for us. We also found the Data Processing Agreement Management feature helpful for our internal records. Overall, it's a solid privacy management suite that covers a lot of bases.

Always a smooth process

I've used Usercentrics for a few years now, upgrading from their free plan to the Premium CMP. Each time I've needed to renew or expand our usage, the process has been really consistent. It's reliable, and their platform just works without much fuss, which is why I keep coming back. No surprises, which is what you want with compliance tools.

Good tool, some setup effort

The Usercentrics CMP for our website has been effective for GDPR compliance, and the Google Consent Mode v2 integration worked well. Value for money seems fair, especially with the annual billing discount. The initial setup for the cookie banner took a bit longer than I expected, mostly adjusting the styling to match our site perfectly. Support was helpful when I had a question about cross-domain consent, though the response time could be a tad quicker.

Anyone know how Usercentrics stacks up against Cookiebot? Been using Cookiebot but thinking of switching.

S Sam Z. 2 months ago
From my experience, Usercentrics is a bit more robust especially with integrations. Cookiebot felt a little basic for what I needed.

I've used both. Usercentrics feels more enterprise-y and customizable. Cookiebot is fine for simple stuff but if you have complex needs or a lot of subdomains, UC might be better. And the Google Consent Mode v2 integration is pretty solid with UC.

Thinking of trying Usercentrics for my small site, is there actually a free version or is it just a trial that ends?

D Dan 2 months ago
Yeah, there's a free tier for smaller sites. I think it's based on page views or something like that. Good for blogs or personal projects.

They definitely have a free one. I signed up like a year ago for my little craft shop site and haven't paid anything. It covers the basics.

Got a non-profit, wondering if Usercentrics offers any kind of discount for charities?

A Alex V. 3 months ago
I'm pretty sure they do! I saw something about a non-profit program when I was checking out their site a while back. Worth asking them directly.

Yep, they have a non-profit discount. You'll probably need to contact their sales team or an account manager to get the details though, it's not like a public coupon code you just enter.

Looking to get Usercentrics, is it worth paying annually for a discount or are there promo codes floating around?

D Derek C. 3 months ago
Annual billing usually gets you a better deal, like 10-20% off. Public promo codes are super rare, I've never seen one.

R Ryan 3 months ago
Nah, don't hold your breath for promo codes. They mostly do discounts for annual plans or if you're a partner or non-profit. Just go with the annual if you can swing it, it's the easiest way to save.

Does anyone know if Usercentrics charges per domain or if I can use one account for multiple subdomains?

P Paula 3 months ago
Pretty sure it's usually per domain. Subdomains might count as separate depending on how you set it up, but you'd need to check their pricing docs.

S Sarah 3 months ago
It can vary based on your plan. For simpler setups, it might cover subdomains, but for larger businesses with many different sites under one umbrella, they often charge separately. Best to clarify with their sales team.
